2025 was very special, I was invited to the 70th Anniversary of the Mille Miglia and spent the morning of the 22nd June at Bonera, Brescia, Mercedes-Benz Dealer with Stirling Elliot Moss and Dr. Matthias Bonczkowitz the owner of the incredible 1954 300 SLR #4500019 Paris Motor Show car that Stirling Moss - Denis Jenkinson took on the Mille Miglia route for a detailed reconnaissance in 1954, giving them the edge becoming winners 1955 winners.
Stirling Elliot Moss took with him on 2025 Mille Miglia, our 722 Commemorative Holdall that was designed to capture the iconic history & incredible spirit of the ‘Most beautiful race in the World’ the Mille Miglia, with exact replica famous ( red on black ) race number 722 = 7 minutes & 22 seconds being the start time of Moss & Jenkins 1955 race, this race was won by the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with factory driver Stirling Moss and his navigator Denis Jenkinson. They completed the 992 mile distance in 10 hours, 7 minutes, and 48 seconds - an average speed of 99 mph (158 km/h). The fastest recorded time in the history 1000 Mile race since 1927, The two Englishmen finished 32 minutes in front of their second-placed teammate.
In the past we had the honour of crafting Silver 722 Holdalls for Mercedes - Benz, North America, Sir Stirling Moss was gifted one.
