Our journey with Dickie began back in 2001, when he road-tested our Maserati 3200GT for EVO Magazine — and chose it as the winner in a head-to-head comparison. Over two decades later, we’ve reunited to craft something truly personal: a Helmet Bag that reflects both style and substance, function and individuality.

THE ‘RM’ COMMISSION – IN RICHARD’S WORDS

“Some years ago, I asked Simon to create a helmet bag and holdall for a friend’s 50th birthday – themed around a Lotus Cortina we raced together. The design included the classic white-and-green colour scheme, racing number, and registration plate, with a photo collage lining to celebrate our shared successes. What I learned is that while Simon’s products are built to last forever, the process is so enjoyable – and the custom possibilities so endless – that you’ll want to do it again.”

A MONOCHROME MASTERPIECE

For his new Helmet Bag, Dickie opted for a refined, understated aesthetic — designed to complement his Frank Stella-inspired helmet, which features a monochrome grid of fine white lines over exposed carbon fibre.

“I wanted something that would mirror the clean geometry of my helmet design – subtle yet full of character.”

Working closely with Creative Director Simon Jordan, the bag was specified in black crushed grain Connolly Vaumol 8500 leather, paired with silver-grey seatbelt webbing handles and a striking black-and-white chequered interior lining.

“Connolly leather feels like a classic British sports car — rich, aromatic, timeless. Every time I pick up the bag, it’s like stepping into an old Aston Martin.”

ATTENTION TO DETAIL – FROM LINING TO LEGACY

The interior lining, already bold in its monochrome chequer pattern, was elevated further with a bespoke print featuring iconic Porsche wheels — the legendary Fuchs rim and BBS Turbofan from the 962 Group C car. It’s a personal touch, subtle yet deeply meaningful.

An embossed ‘RM’ monogram provides the perfect final flourish.

FUNCTIONALITY TO MATCH FORM

Though designed with elegance, the Helmet Bag offers serious motorsport practicality:
